At the same time, however, it has often struggled to achieve harmony with interior spaces and the beauty expected of furniture.

Quiet Arc Folding Stool was created by embracing the potential of the folding mechanism itself, while seeking to unite:

“the beauty of furniture × the freedom of folding × harmony with space”

into a single product.

Quietly disappearing when not in use,
and naturally appearing when needed.

It proposes a new concept of furniture:

“A portable permanent piece of furniture.”

One Action Folding

Rather than concealing the structure in complexity,
the mechanism itself is expressed as part of the form.

Quiet Arc Folding Stool can be intuitively unfolded and stored away with a single action.

Structure as Beauty

Instead of hiding the folding structure,
its rationality is directly transformed into beauty.

Mechanism, structure, and form are not treated separately,
but integrated into a single piece of furniture.

Quiet Harmony

My work is rooted in a sense of harmony found within Japanese culture.

A quiet coexistence between nature, space, time, and people.

Quiet Arc Folding Stool also emerged through the pursuit of function and form,
naturally arriving at a presence that quietly blends into its surroundings.

Not asserting itself too strongly,
but remaining quietly present.

I believe that within this quietness lies the value of furniture that continues to be used for a long time.
